HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES
During the school holidays, the Selwyn District Libraries run holiday events, usually of one session a week. Check the Council Call page in the “Selwyn Times” (issued weekly on Tuesdays), or "The Central Canterbury News" (issued weekly on Wednesdays) and the "What's On?" page on this website to see what is planned for forthcoming holidays.
Toddler Time @ Your Library

Once a week during school term time you can bring your toddler into your local Selwyn Library for half an hour and enjoy the books, songs and activities arranged by the library
staff. There is no cost and there is a different theme each week!
Darfield - Monday 10-10:30am
Rolleston - Tuesday 10-10:30am
Leeston - Thursday 10:30-11am
Lincoln - Friday 10-10:30am
CLASS VISITS
The District Libraries welcome visits from pre-school groups, school classes and other groups, or librarians can come out and visit your group or class.
A library staff member will be happy to show your group interesting resources, read stories, and guide you around the library.
If your group would like to visit please ring your local library to arrange a suitable time.
TOY LIBRARIES
In the Selwyn District and nearby, toy libraries have been established to serve the following centres:
Darfield, Ellesmere (at Leeston), Kirwee, Lincoln, Sheffield/Springfield, South Malvern (at Glentunnel) Halswell, and Hornby.
