Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori / Maori Language Week
Kia ora koutou, Nau mai to Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori! (http://www.nzhistory.net.nz/culture/maori-language-week)
Growing in popularity and awareness every year, Maori Language Week has become a staple of our society. Above is a summary of Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori from NZHistory.net and below you will find a list of "100 Maori words every New Zealander should know" - this is a great resource for terms we hear (and should be able to use..) regularly - can you use a new Maori word every day this week? It might be a good idea to print this list and pop it up around the house? - who knows what we will learn!?
